SUMMER CREDIT RECOVERY

Credit recovery courses are available only to New Roads students who have earned a D or F in an Upper School social science or mathematics course. Students will be given materials that include assessments to work through independently with the support of a teacher. The materials will cover key themes, skills, and topics from the course of study.

How will the course appear on the transcript and affect the GPA?
  • The course will be listed with the same course title (ex: if making up fall semester World Civ 1, the transcript will read World Civ 1 A).
  • The original course and grade will remain on the transcript.
  • The original grade will be replaced by the new grade in the overall GPA calculation.
