Welcome

    • Dan Vorenberg, Head of School

Hello,

Welcome to our 30th year at New Roads. It remains my privilege to serve in the capacity of Interim Head of School for this, the 2025-2026 school year. After 46 years in both independent and public education, I can say with a good deal of confidence that New Roads has seemingly found true intersectionality in balancing children’s intellect with emotional health, the arts with kinesthetics, and personal identity with an active and purposeful desire to make a difference in the world.

The New Roadsian elixir that is mixed and melded here each day requires an “all in” approach by and from all institutional stakeholders. A progressive school approach that challenges the status quo and inspires not only students, but our entire community, to think deeply and live meaningfully. Our success can be found in lives well led by our alumni, the academic, artistic and athletic strength of our programs, the dedication of our faculty, and most importantly, in the joy so clearly evident and emanating from our diverse and talented student body.

I hope you take a moment to investigate both on-line and in-person all the warmth and wonder embedded in the New Roads experience, and thank you so much for taking a moment, or even 30 moments, to learn more about our school.

Warmly,

Dan Vorenberg
Head of School
