Coach Andrea York’s lifelong passion for running began at just five years old, when her father entered her in her first 5K. Her love for the sport grew quickly, propelling her to excel in high school and earn a Division I scholarship to the University of Maine. There, she competed in Cross Country along with Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field, racing in events including the 10K, 5K, 3000m, 1500m, and multiple relays. She continued her competitive journey after college by training for marathons while pursuing certifications in personal training. During college, Andrea coached the cross country and track teams at Hampden Academy, discovering her passion for helping athletes unlock their potential. After graduating, she embarked on a transformative experience in Iten, Kenya—known as “The Home of Champions”—where many of the world’s elite runners live and train. She spent two years assisting and sponsoring marathon runners, gaining invaluable insight into world-class training environments.
Upon returning to the U.S., Andrea moved to California and worked directly under a distinguished orthopedic surgeon, specializing in corrective exercise and physical therapy. She later served as a Master Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness in Santa Monica before launching and running her own business at Trident Fitness for five years. She has also held head coaching roles for cross country and track programs across Southern California. Andrea believes that feeling strong and striving to be your best are essential to living a full and meaningful life. Her coaching style is dynamic, diverse, and deeply educational—ensuring athletes stay engaged, learn continuously, and gain the tools they need to succeed both on and off the course. She brings her wealth of global experience, technical expertise, and unwavering passion to the New Roads community.

He continued his career at San Jose State University. He received All-Western Athletic Conference honors hitting .337 batting average, 8 HR’s, and 57 RBI’s in 60 games. With 43 years of golf experience, a background as an AJGA national competitor, and a +2 USGA Handicap Index, Coach Joshua Radcliffe brings a lifetime of passion, discipline, and technical mastery to the New Roads golf program. Guided by the words of Bobby Jones—“If a game is worth playing at all, it’s worth making some effort to play it correctly”—Coach Radcliffe believes deeply in the value of dedication and sound fundamentals. Having started the game at a young age, he quickly developed skill and confidence, but it wasn’t until competing on the national American Junior Golf Association circuit that he realized talent alone wasn’t enough. Excellence required commitment, precision, and an unwavering focus on mastering the fundamentals. Over decades, he has invested tens of thousands of hours to studying, practicing, and refining the mechanics of the golf swing. This lifelong immersion in the game has given him a rare understanding of both the technical and mental dimensions of playing well. Coach Radcliffe fosters a mindset of commitment and continuous improvement in every student, no matter their starting point. His dedication to helping young athletes grow—on the course and in character—is what drew him to New Roads. He is excited to share the knowledge, experience, and love for the game that have shaped his own life.
