STEM Speaker Denise McDade, Gene Therapy Expert

Friday, February 23rd, from 2:30-3:30 pm, the New Roads High School STEM club will be hosting another fantastic speaker, Denise McDade (an expert in gene editing), to talk about her career and journey in STEM. McDade is a founding executive and the Senior Vice President of Quality, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at Lightship (a medical provider). She has partnered with other major biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies like Teva, Amgen and Genentech and is currently working on a gene therapy product to treat XLinked retinitis pigmentosa, the leading genetic cause of blindness. This talk will take place in Glenn (Jared’s classroom) which is located on the ground floor of the Moss building. We hope to see you there!
