11th Grader Kaden Deal Takes Top Honor in Remix Competition
Junior Kaden Deal’s clinched the top spot in Mastering.com’s inaugural remix competition, hosted in collaboration with Lewitt Microphones. Out of 12,000 submissions worldwide for the remix of indie artist Lucy’s Warr’s London Burning, Kaden’s distinctive style set his rendition (which he renamed On My Way) apart to earn the winning title. Kaden, who plans to integrate remixing into his future career, received a prestigious prize package, including a high-end microphone. His accomplishment is especially noteworthy given the impressive pool of participants, ranging from amateurs to professions. Check out Kaden’s winning remix here.
