English Teacher Michael Winetsky Contributes Scholarly Chapter to Prestigious Compilation

High School English teacher Michael Winetsky can add another scholarly publication to his CV, having penned a chapter in Susan Glaspell in Context, recently published by Cambridge University Press. Edited by Cornell University’s J. Ellen Gainor, this book “provides new, accessible, and informative essays by leading international scholars and artists on Pulitzer Prize winn Susan Glaspell's life, career development, writing and ongoing global creative impact.” 

Michael’s chapter, Glaspell and American Education, explores the role of education in public life and predicts multiple pillars of progressive education, including New Roads School’s pedagogical philosophy. It is a valuable contribution to the ongoing conversation surrounding Susan Glaspell's literary legacy and her impact on American society. Michael has also published articles on Glaspell in Ecumenica and the Journal of American Drama and Theater.
