Developing Student Voices Before Their College Aspirations

Luthern was featured this summer in the The Path to Higher Ed podcast, a SchooLinks hosted community that explores relevant themes and issues in the world of college and career readiness. In the episode, “Developing Student Voices Before their College Aspirations,” Luthern mentioned that the core of New Roads’ educational philosophy is about helping each student develop a sense of curiosity and wonder as early as in Kindergarten, as well as teaching them how to self-advocate, use their voices and feel comfortable telling their own stories. In this way, “the college process is just a culmination of what the [-students-] have always been doing at New Roads,” he noted.
