12th Grader Edie Trautwien YoungArts Winner

Congratulations to senior Edie Trautwein, who has been named a 2018 National YoungArts Foundation Merit winner in Visual Arts. YoungArts recognizes the nation’s most promising young artists in the visual, literary, design and performing arts. 757 artists from 47 states were selected for awards, which provide access to one of the most comprehensive programs for emerging artists in the United States, offering financial, professional and artistic development opportunities over the course of their careers.

As part of her award, Edie will spend a week in Westwood, taking master classes. She says, “I applied for a YoungArts award last year, but wasn’t selected, so winning this year is especially meaningful.”
