11th Grader Amanda Gorman on the Today Show

11th grader Amanda Gorman is making headlines! Amanda made it onto national network television discussing about her efforts to raise awareness about the #BringBackOurGirls demonstrations taking place this week. The Today Show featured an interview with Amanda in a segment about today’s one-year anniversary of the mass kidnapping of women and girls in Nigeria. Check out the Today Show broadcast

Earlier this month, she was the subject of the lead article in Santa Monica’s The Argonaut newsletter, sharing her experiences and insights as Los Angeles’ first Youth Poet Laureate. As Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda has participated in a reading tour and will publish a book of her poetry.
