Class of 2025 College News

We are closing out the academic year with another exceptional list of college matriculations for the Class of 2025. This group has demonstrated curiosity, resilience, and passion throughout their journey at New Roads, and their college outcomes reflect it. 98% of the class will be attending a four-year university. We are especially proud to share that 100% of our first-generation college-going students (17% of the class) will be attending a four-year university next fall. You can view them here.

This year’s college destinations include an impressive range of institutions such as UC Berkeley, UCLA, Columbia, USC, Vassar College, NYU Shanghai, Trinity College Dublin, and University of the Arts London. Students were also accepted to competitive programs across the UC and CSU systems, private universities, conservatories, and international schools in China, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Canada
We are also proud to celebrate two prestigious scholarship recipients: A QuestBridge Match Scholar attending Columbia University and a Posse Foundation Scholar attending Tulane University.

New Roads students continued to outperform national averages in several of the country’s most selective admissions processes:
  • UCLA: 18% admission rate for NRS students (compared to 8.6% nationally)
  • UC Berkeley: 40% for NRS students (approx. 10% nationally)
  • USC: 27.7% for NRS students (compared to 10% nationally)
  • NYU: 44% for NRS students (vs. 7.7% nationally)
  • UPenn: 28% for NRS students (vs. approx. 4.9% nationally)
  • Columbia: 25% for NRS students (vs. 4.3% nationally)
We are incredibly proud of each student and all they’ve accomplished.
