Unfinished Work Film Festival Winners

New Roads, in conjunction with The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Westside Coalition, presented Unfinished Work: Advancing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy of Equity and Justice on January 13. This online film and oratory festival invited middle and high school students around the world to submit short films and speeches that explore, acknowledge, challenge, disrupt, and shine a light on institutional and structural racism. 
 
Congratulations to New Roads middle schoolers Logan Montalbano, Rodrigo Cifuentes, Andrew Farca, Arely Rodriguez, Bella Dodo, and Elio LaPorta on winning the Best Middle School Impact Film category for “How to be an Ally?”.  Arely also won the Best Middle School Short Film for “What is a Microaggression?” and 11th grader Elia Santomarco-King received the runner-up award for the Best High School Short Film for “Fight”.
