Tara Treiber Was a Recipient of a 2021 WAVE Award
In a virtual ceremony on May 6, the Venice Chamber of Commerce Education Committee honored New Roads’ own Upper School Science Teacher Tara Treiber, among other teachers in the Los Angeles community, with a WAVE award for “rising to the challenge” during this unprecedented year. Tara was nominated by her peers for her “indomitable spirit and her dedication to her craft and students.”
Tara notes that she felt humbled to have been recognized for her "hard work and impact as an educator at New Roads." She adds, "It feels extra special to have won in a year like this one that has required so much additional attention and time to be able to effectively and and impactfully reach our students in the virtual environment." Since 2010, the annual WAVE Awards have been celebrating teachers for excellence in education.
