Jag Swimmers are Making Waves

The Varsity Swim program can now boast of excellence in diving. 9th grader Thalie Moore has emerged as the Jaguars’ first competitor in the diving division and is a contender for a CIF individual postseason berth. Thalie has been representing NewRoads in non-league diving meets this year, competing against divers from the much larger Palisades High and University High squads. In a recent tri-meet, Thalie earned a 3rd-place finish, which qualified her for the CIF preliminary diving meet where she earned a 6th place finish. On the swimming side, the championship tradition continued into a 4th consecutive Coastal League championship for both the Boys and Girls squads. The Jags decisively defeated Vistamar, Wildwood and Rolling Hills Prep in the League Finals on May 4, securing the four-peat for both the boys and girls programs. Go Jags!
