Luthern Williams Convenes with Mindfulness Thoughtleaders
Head of School Luthern Williams, at the personal invitation of renowned mindfulness expert, best selling author and Co-Director of the UCLA School of Medicine’s Mindful Awareness Research Center Dan Siegel, participated in a gathering of educators and researchers at the Garrison Institute in New York earlier this month. In this three-day workshop, Luthern and some of the world’s most prominent thought leaders in generative social fields explored how social climates in schools and mindfulness can positively influence learning, wellbeing and development.
Luthern says, “I am excited to forge collaborations between New Roads and some of the world’s leading mindfulness and brain science researchers and scholars. With our shared purpose of providing young people with an education that enriches both mind and spirit, we are exploring how we can best prepare our students to reach their full academic, social and emotional potential.”
