By Marcia Moore - Posted: February 27, 2013

See the work of celebrated artist, educator and social justice activist Corita Kent in the inaugural gallery exhibition at the Capshaw-Spielberg Center for Arts and Educational Justice. Throughout her career, Corita sought and portrayed the extraordinary within the ordinary, transforming everyday objects into spiritual expressions. The exhibition is open to the public Monday –Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, until April 28. We will host a special workshop to explore Corita Kent's art on April 21. For more information about the workshop, contact mmoore@newroads.org.  The Corita Art Center has very generously loaned all of the prints featured in this exhibition.
