As a crucial element of our founding mission, New Roads School devotes a minimum of 40% of our tuition dollars each year to need-based financial assistance. This uniquely generous program supports the rich diversity of our school community, but it also requires the active and robust participation of our families and other philanthropic partners to help us meet our yearly fundraising goals.

We rely on contributions from many different sources to bridge the gap between the tuition dollars we collect and the actual cost of providing a quality education to our students, including:

• Private and Family Foundations
• Corporations, including Matching Gifts
• Board of Trustees
• Alumni
• Parent- sponsored activities organized by the Parent Association

We need everyone’s help! Whether through monetary contributions, ideas, introductions to new resources, or volunteering to help with mailings or at events, we welcome your participation.

Our goals are established by the Development Office in coordination with the Development Committee of our Board of Trustees. Fundraising activities account for approximately 12% of New Roads School’s operating budget. For the 2009-2010 school year, our fundraising goal from all sources is almost $2,000,000.
